Lisa Anne Pore, 59, of Windfall, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 11, 1965, in Charleston, South Carolina to her parents, Edward & Barbara (Dailey) Lyke. Lisa married the love of her life, James "Jimmy" Pore, on November 23, 1991, sharing 33 years of marriage and a lifetime of memories.
Lisa graduated from Tri-Central High School, in the class of 1984. If you knew Lisa, then you had the privilege of knowing one of the kindest hearts in this world. Going into Lisa's Tanning was always a privilege. Lisa not only provided excellent service and care for her customers, she also provided friendship and love. Lisa's customers left her shop not only feeling better about their appearance, but better about life in general. She took the time to make everyone who walked through her door feel valued. She not only knew your name, she knew your kids' names, she knew what was going on in your life, she often remembered details mentioned in passing that most other people would have instantly forgotten. Not Lisa! Why? She genuinely cared about others. Lisa impacted and encouraged many people with her no-nonsense approach to life. She was upbeat, fun, and always positive. After a conversation with Lisa, you just unexplainably felt better. The beauty in this is the fact that she didn't even realize what a gift she was to so many she was just simply being herself.
Lisa loved her family with her whole heart. She beamed with pride whenever she spoke of them. Lisa tried to never take her life for granted. She knew she had been blessed beyond measure. Whenever she talked about her parents she would laugh and say she didn't know how she had gotten so lucky. Her thankful and fun-loving spirit always led the way!
There was a lot of fun to be had in the Pore household. Lisa was a devoted Boston Red Sox fan, and her husband and daughter were over the top Yankee fans. There was never a shortage of healthy banter! Christmas time was always very special. Lisa loved to decorate, and had a knack for making the house feel warm and cozy. She loved setting up her Christmas Village that grew a little every year. Lisa probably enjoyed Christmas so much because of her giving spirit. If she ever heard someone was in need, she was the first to step in to help.
Her daughter lovingly referred to her as Batman; this was of course because she had the superpower of fixing almost anything that was wrong. On the rare occasion when she couldn't, the two still loved being Batman and Robin and embracing the beautiful bond they shared. Lisa had an unbreakable bond with her husband as well. She was still quite smitten after all their years together, and she was incredibly grateful for his loving commitment to her. He truly honored her and their vows by taking incredible care of her during her illness. Life will definitely not be the same without Lisa, but she has left an amazing example of what love in action looks like.
Those left to carry on Lisa's legacy of love are her husband, Jimmy Pore; mother, Barbara Lyke; daughter, Megan Pore; stepdaughter, Kasie (Ian) Wolfgang; bonus daughter, Emily Kesterson; step grandchildren, Hayley McMannis and Nevaeh McMannis; step great grandchild, Winter; sisters-in-law, Lisa (Brian) Bear, Teresa (Mike) Gaiser; brother-in-law, Mike (Sandy) Pore; nephew, Blaine (Paige) Gaiser; several aunts, uncles, cousins; and fur baby, Sheba Eleanor Pore.
Lisa was welcomed into Heaven by her dad, Edward Lyke; grandparents, Paul & Lorene Dailey; Rev. Dorcie & Alma Lyke; in-laws, James & Charlotte Pore; and fur babies, Boston, Bristol, and Amber.
