Solberg, Lisa Margaret age 64, passed away unexpectedly on October 23, 2023 due to a ruptured brain aneurysm. Lisa was a person full of joy. She was warm and welcoming and exuded a nurturing energy that made you feel safe and loved. She made friends out of strangers and went out of her way to make sure people felt special and important. She had a laugh that filled the room and could rarely be seen without a smile. Her favorite word was 'Hope' and would encourage those around her to always remain hopeful, even in life's most trying situations. Lisa was born on March 8, 1959, to Gerald and Helen Raunig of Missoula, Montana. She received her bachelor's degree from Montana State University, and completed a Master's in Business Administration at the University of Denver. After college, she moved to Seattle, Washington. It was in the coffee room on her first day of work that she met the love of her life, John. They wed in 1982 and had two children, Nicole and Jeffrey. The Solberg family moved to Edina, MN in 1999, where Lisa took joy in raising her children and being involved in their sports and clubs. She enjoyed time spent at their cabin and loved making holidays special with themed dinners and festive decor. Lisa was an incredible chef and found such enjoyment in passing along her love of cooking and baking to her children and granddaughter. After 20 years of Minnesota winters, Lisa and John decided it was time to make sunny Scottsdale, Arizona their home, where she loved to entertain friends and family. She enjoyed exploring her new town, Jeep adventures with John, floating in the pool and sharing the bounty of her prized lemon tree. Lisa loved to travel, especially with her family. Her and John would take bicycle trips all over the world together and had many more excursions planned for the future. In her last year and a half of life, Lisa took profound joy in becoming a grandmother and loved spending time with her granddaughters whenever she could. Lisa is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, John; her children, Nicole (Jon) Seppelt and Jeffrey (Bridget) Solberg; her grandchildren, Penelope and Cecilia Seppelt; her mother, Helen Raunig; and siblings, Linda Raunig (Patti Hagemeyer), Michael (Sheila) Raunig, Susan Raunig (Greg Roeben). Preceded in death by her father, Jerry Raunig. To honor Lisa's giving spirit, in lieu of flowers we ask that you donate to a charity close to your heart, or to simply show kindness to a stranger, one of Lisa's greatest qualities. A memorial service celebrating Lisa's life will be announced at a later date. Washburn-McReavy.com Edina Chapel 952-920-3996
