Lloyd Arauz entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, after a prolonged and courageous battle with diabetes and kidney disease. Born on August 23, 1973, to the late Diogenes and Norma (Nunez) Arauz in New York, NY, he was the fourth of six children. Lloyd grew up in the Bronx, attending St. Peter and Paul Catholic School, Murray Bergtraum High School for Business Careers and subsequently graduating from Monroe College with a degree in Computer Science. Lloyd lived a life marked by deep faith, steadfast love, and an enduring spirit that inspired all who knew him.
Lloyd's life was a testament to his strong Christian faith, which served as his anchor through all of life's joys and challenges. Even in the midst of his health struggles, his belief in God's sovereignty and goodness never wavered, offering him and his family a profound sense of peace and hope. He often reminded those around him that even in troubles, faith provides a path to hope, a principle he embodied until his last breath.
On May 15, 2004, Lloyd married the love of his life, Kimberly Annette (Hudson) Arauz, who stood by him with unwavering devotion. Together, they built a beautiful family, blessed with two cherished daughters, Victoria Noelle and Brianna Hope Arauz. Lloyd loved his girls, gadgets, computers and fishing. His dedication to his family was evident in every aspect of his life, and he poured his heart into nurturing and guiding his daughters, always pointing them towards faith and perseverance.
Professionally, Lloyd was a dedicated and skilled individual, contributing his talents to several reputable companies throughout his career, including IBM, American Airlines, Percepta, and Radial. Beyond his professional endeavors, Lloyd served faithfully as a Deacon at the First Cathedral in Bloomfield, CT and as a member of Calvary Chapel in Melbourne, FL, where his commitment to ministry and community left a lasting impact. His gentle spirit, wisdom, and willingness to serve were a blessing to his church families.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents Diogenes and Norma Arauz and his infant twins, Joshua Lloyd and Vivian Katherine, whose memory he held dear. In addition to his loving wife and his two daughters, he leaves behind a loving legacy through his siblings: Evelyn Arauz-Chamorro and her husband Joshua, Diogenes Arauz Jr., Brenda Lee Arauz-Martinez and her husband Armando, Rodney Arauz, and Marilyn Arauz, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
His family will receive friends on Saturday, November 22, 10-11 a.m., followed by a Homegoing Service at 11 a.m., at the First Cathedral, 1151 Blue Hills Ave., Bloomfield. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge, FL.
Though we grieve his physical absence, we rejoice in the knowledge that Lloyd is now free from pain and suffering, resting in the eternal embrace of his Lord. His memory will continue to inspire us to live with purpose, love unconditionally, and trust in God's unfailing grace.
