Lloyd Abbott Hoffman, 72, of Oley, PA, passed away on June 12, 2024, at Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Teri Joan (Peterman) Hoffman, with whom he shared 25 years of marriage.
Born in Secane, PA, on April 12, 1952, Lloyd was the son of the late James W. Hoffman and Elizabeth W. (Parkinson) Hoffman.
Lloyd was a graduate of Haverford High School and went on to earn a degree in education from Millersville University. Known affectionately by students as "Hoff", he passionately spent his life teaching and supporting students for decades, ending his career teaching at his high school alma mater. He was a skilled carpenter and woodcarver, leaving behind his artwork to be enjoyed throughout the community. His love for horses grew when he met Teri and he could often be found trail riding in the woods with his family. One of his greatest loves was film, an avid collector of cinema's most exceptional stories, he loved relaxing in his movie room.
Lloyd is lovingly remembered by his wife, Teri Hoffman; his children, Christopher Hoffman, Summer Hoffman, and Juliet (Hoffman) Bonhage (& Matthew Bonhage); his grandchildren, Griffin, Willow, Zephyr, Makai, Dawson, and Bodhi; his siblings, Dr. William Hoffman, Charles Hoffman and Elizabeth (Hoffman) Crawford; and his brother-in-law Jeff Peterman.
A memorial service, followed by reception, will be held on July 9, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Friedens United Church of Christ, 337 Main Street, Oley, PA 19547.
Houck & Gofus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte Street, Pottstown, PA 19464, will be handling the arrangements. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.houckgofusfuneralhome.com.
