DALLAS TEXAS – Logan Timothy James, beloved son of Tim and Kim James entered eternal rest on January 24, 2024, at the age of 23. He was born on November 3, 2000, in Pinehurst, North Carolina. His life was tragically cut short in a plane crash where Logan was always at peace doing what he loved so deeply.
Logan was a remarkable young man with a gentle and loving spirit. He found immense joy and peace when he took to the skies. From his junior year in college, he developed an interest in flying, this passion only intensified as he earned his pilot's license.
Logan attended Northwest Guilford High School, where he excelled not only in academics but also in athletics. He played baseball and was a dedicated member of the cross-country team. He was recognized as a National Merit Scholar for his outstanding academic achievements. Following high school, Logan pursued higher education at the University of Texas at Dallas on a full academic scholarship. With unwavering dedication, Logan graduated with honors, earning a bachelor's degree in Geospatial Sciences with Magna Cum Laude distinction.
Motivated by his new found passion, Logan embarked on the journey to become a pilot. He attended ATP Flight School in Addison, Texas, where he acquired his private pilot's license and instrument rating. He was on the brink of obtaining his commercial pilot's license for single-engine aircraft.
Logan was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Paul Thomas Parker and Margaret Parker, and his paternal grandparents, Robert Earl James and Marie Martin James.
Logan will forever be remembered for his kind heart and unwavering determination. He leaves behind precious memories that will be cherished by his loving parents, Tim and Kim. He is survived by four uncles: Tommy Parker (Connie) of Aulander, NC; Timmy Parker (Katherine) of Perry, GA; Kevin Parker (Torrun) of Reston, VA; and Bob James (Lynda) of Charlotte, NC.
