My sister and I were good friends with Lori and Joel when we were kids in East Lansing, Michigan. Sincere condolescences to everyone in Lori's circle. :( We were Tammy and David McNutt then. Tammy is now Tamara Lazarev and I'm now David McNott, with a son the same age as Lori's son Garrett. Joel, I'm not sure I've ever laughed as hard as I did that day with the silly string. :)

I knew Lori in high school, along with Janice Whaley. it wasn't long before we were hanging together, going to Strawberry Chapel at night and scaring the bejesus out of Janice. One early Sat. Morning, my mother woke me and said my two friends were at the door to pick me up. Lori and Janice convinced me to go camping at Huntington Beach, and not to worry, they took care of everything. I trusted them.
After setting everything up, they didn't have anything to cook with, and no firewood. Rustled everything up, started a fire, opened the cooler to get the food they brought...a bag of grapes and a pack of hotdogs...no buns, no condiments. Just one of the fun memories I'll never forget. We'll miss you Lori.

I met Lori when she was at WAVE. I would go to the radio get-togethers and we became friends. If you know Lori & her tall self & big head of curly blonde hair, we looked funny together, I am sure. I am 4' 6" aasnd have dark hair. One time we were walking downtown, and someone we passed by called us Mutt & Jeff! The last time I saw Lori was in 2016 at a Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo concert. Here are two pics of us from that night.

Lori and I did numerous concerts together. She the DJ for WEZL, and I was the photographer. I'll bet I shot 1000 pics of her.

When I first came to Charleston to do the overnight gig at 96 Wave, Lori became my "big sister" almost immediately. Little know fact: "Big Sister" Lorel Stachnik said to me, "take it from me. With a name like yours (Ralf Ingwersen) you're gonna want an "on-air name" (and yes, Jeff Kent, the P.D. had demanded that) so Lori was the one who signed off on the dopey name I chose - Atom Taler. Rest in Peace, big radio sis. Always an angel
