Lori Lyn Carter

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lori Lyn Carter, age 60, who took her own life on January 28, 2025. Lori was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, on November 18, 1964, to a family that always knew her for her kind spirit, her boundless love, and her strength in facing life's challenges.
Lori is survived by her devoted husband, Bengy Carter, and their daughter Taylor Rochelle. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren, Piper Kennedy and Kayger Thomas, who brought her immense joy. She is proceeded in death by her Nanny and Papa, Her Father and Mother, and her son TJ. Lori was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She touched the lives of many with her compassionate nature and gentle heart. She loved big.
Her family and close friends will forever remember her warmth, her hugs, and her resilience. Lori's passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. In this time of grief, we ask that you hold her family in your thoughts, and we encourage everyone to check in on their loved ones-mental health is just as vital as physical health.
A grave side service will be held to honor Lori's memory on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 11:30 am at the Cedar City Cemetery 685 N Main St, Cedar City UT 84721 under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary. Followed by a luncheon/life celebration at the Westview Church 800 S Laurie Lane Cedar City UT 84720. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to local mental health organization or suicide prevention in Lori's memory.
