Lorraine T. Thulin (nee Novak), 90, a lifelong resident of Lake County, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and faith. Her gentle and generous heart was most evident in her devotion to her husband, children, and grandchildren, who were her greatest pride and joy.
A longtime and faithful parishioner of St. Joseph Church. Lorraine created a home that was a welcoming and comforting place for family and friends alike. She found her greatest happiness in the simple things: family gatherings filled with laughter and precious time spent with her grandchildren. She taught her children the importance of honesty and resilience and was a lifelong supporter of Chicago sports. She was also a 13 year member in the Warren Township Senior Center. Loved by many, her memory will be cherished and she will be dearly missed.
Lorraine is survived by her children Kenneth (Elizabeth) Thulin, Susan Thulin, Leanne (the late Rick Leonowitz) Thulin and Todd (Nancy) Thulin; her grandchildren Cameron, Jamie (Ryan) Graunke and Nicole Thulin. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years Lee.
Private family funeral services were held at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. In lieu of flowers, memorials made to the Arthritis Foundation www.arthritis.org/ would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements by McMurrough Funeral Chapel (847) 362-2626
