He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marcia, his 4 children, Claire, Jeffrey (Jennifer), Marlene and Carolyn (Jason), 3 grandchildren, Jeffrey Jr., Jessica and Jace, and his sister, Janice Kirkpatrick (the late, John).
He graduated from Northeast High School where he was known for his skills in football and pole vaulting. Lou served 4 years in the US Coast Guard during which time he married Marcia (Gilbert). He took over the family business of John Grass Woodturning company and worked there his whole career. He was a member of All Saints' Church (Torresdale) and later of St. James (Langhorne). As parish secretary at St. James I always looked forward to Lou stopping in while he was doing property repair. He was a good guy. Rest easy Lou!
