Lowell Volmer, 87, of Marion, passed away peacefully at 7:53 am on Saturday, August 23, 2025, in his home. He was born on January 24, 1938, in Murdo, South Dakota, to Louis and Kathryn (Groff) Volmer.

On January 17, 1959, Lowell married Joyce Gerard, his partner and greatest support of 66 years. He graduated from Draper High School and attended Regis College. Lowell went on to serve his country with pride in the United States Army, where he was honorably discharged after completing his service. Afterward, he was the owner of J.A.M Associates, a financial consulting business. He dedicated many years to guiding others toward financial stability and success. A devoted Denver Broncos fan, Lowell held season tickets and rarely missed a game, cheering on his team with unwavering enthusiasm.

Lowell found great joy in his work and in helping his sons grow their businesses, offering advice and support with unwavering dedication. Above all, he cherished his family deeply.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Volmer of Marion; sons, Todd (Cris) Volmer and Mark Volmer; six grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Gary, Larry, Neil, and Lee Volmer; sister, Gayle Byrd; and his long-time Army buddy, Al Offutt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Kathryn Volmer.

In accordance with Lowell's wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.

Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Catholic Parish, 1031 W. Kem Rd., Marion, IN 46952.
