Lucille Vadney Kinlock was born Lucille V. McFarlane on June 6, 1943 in St. Ann, Jamaica West Indies to the parents of David McFarlane and Emma Clarke.
Lucille was the eldest of 7 siblings born to this union. Mary, Lillian, Esme, Artress, Ann, and Teddy.
Lucille was educated in the Jamaican school system until she came to America in 1968. Lucille met and married her husband Ellery D. Kinlock Sr. (deceased) on June 6, 1970. Through their union were birthed 3 children, Ellery D. Kinlock Jr. Violet A. Kinlock and Olufemi B. Kinlock. (deceased)
Lucille worked at Brookdale Hospital for 32 years and Bellevue Hospital for 16 years as a dietary worker where she retired in 2005.
Lucille wasted no time after retiring, she moved to the Poconos on December 31, the same year 2005 where she resided until transitioning peacefully of natural causes into the arms of her savior Jesus Christ on Saturday April 23, 2022.
Lucille was greatly loved by her family and all of those whose lives she touched. She loved cooking for others and seeing people enjoy eating her food. One of Lucille's gifts to the body of Christ was the ministry of helps. Anything you asked her to do she was always willing to extend her hands to complete. Lucille loved the Lord dearly and was a very kindhearted person. Who always had a beautiful smile on her face.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Ellery Kinlock and son Olufemi B. Kinlock.
Left to cherish her fond memories is her son Ellery D. Kinlock jr. daughter in-law Toni Kinlock daughter Violet A. Kinlock. Siblings; Mary, Lillian, Esme, Ann, Artress, and Teddy. Cousins; Dr. Norma Anderson, Sharon Rollock, Lenny Riggs, Daisy Harvey, Fay McFarlane, Grace and Dalia, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Services will be held on Wednesday, May 4, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg, PA with viewing beginning at 10:00AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00AM. Burial will take place at 10:30am on Thursday, May 5, at Rosehill Cemetery, 792 East Edgar Road, Linden, NJ 07036.
