SOUTHBRIDGE: Luis F. Melendez, 39, of North Woodstock Rd. peacefully passed away on Friday January 5.
Luis is survived by his devoted longtime companion of 21 years, Dawn Corrow, and their three beautiful sons Jayvien Melendez, Jaxavier Melendez, and Jizaiah Melendez. He also leaves behind his loving mother Enid Rubero of Orocovis, Puerto Rico, two caring brothers Randy Melendez of Southbridge and Luis Melendez of Webster, as well as a sister Enid Melendez of Webster. He will be dearly missed by his nephews, nieces, cousins, and all who knew him. Luis was preceded in death by his beloved son Luis F. Melendez Jr., who tragically passed away in 2012.
Born in Bayamon Puerto Rico to Enid Rubero and the late Luis F. Melendez, Luis brought immense joy to his family's life. He graduated from Baypath Regional High School with a focus on masonry.
Throughout his life, Luis dedicated himself to the construction industry. He worked for JBL Construction and JM Construction before establishing his own successful company, Luis Melendez Construction. His skills and craftsmanship were admired by all who encountered his work.
Aside from his professional accomplishments, Luis cherished moments spent at The Massachusetts Firearms in Holliston with Dawn, where they both enjoyed shooting sports. He also had a passion for culinary exploration and took pleasure in trying out different restaurants in the area. However, his greatest joy in life came from spending time with his beloved family, who brought him immense happiness and fulfillment.
