Lula Mae Russell Johnson age 87 of Franklin, TN passed away November 3, 2024. Lula Mae dedicated her life to her family. She helped nourish the lives of many children from birth through high school. Known as an excellent seamstress, she created baby clothing, wedding dresses, prom gowns and many other clothing items. She embodied the definition of a virtuous woman by being the wife of a minister who supported and cared for several churches.
Lula Mae is survived by her three loving children, Gary (Martha) Moore of Franklin, TN, Donnie (Regina) Moore of Nashville, TN and Donna Mae (Rick) Rice of Simpsonville, SC; grandchildren, Stacie (Landon) Cammilleri, Chelsie Louise (Lee) Claibourne, Cali Elizabeth (Matt Harrington) Moore, Kayla McKenzie Moore, Tarek (Katerina) El Malah and Mona El Malah; great grandchildren, Camren Lee Claibourne, Jaxson (Moore) Reid, Layla (Josh) Anderson, Aiden El Malah and Jasmine El Malah; sisters, Shirley Williams of Eagleville, TN and Emma Jean Molder of the Deason Community. Mrs. Johnson is preceded in death by her first husband, Garrett White Moore and second husband, Elder Clifton Johnson; parents, James and Myrtle Landers Russell; grandson, Christopher Gary (Reid) Moore; sisters, Dorothy Foster, Lorene Rigsby and Lucille Moore.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home, Elder Travis Williams to officiate. Visitation will begin at 9:00AM Thursday until 12Noon. The family will have a private burial at Johnson Family Cemetery. Landon Cammilleri, Lee Claibourne, Tarek El Malah, Matt Harrington, Tyler Johnson and Jack Williams to serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Leiper's Fork Primitive Baptist Church, P.O. Box 293 College Grove, TN. 37046.
