Dorsey Community-Luther Cecil Morgan passed away Monday, March 7, 2022 at the Merit Health Central Intensive Care Unit. He was 79 years of age. Born December 31, 1942 in Saltillo, Luther was the son of George and Grace Cullum Morgan. He served in the military as a member of the United States Air Force. Upon his discharge, he began his career as a truck driver. Luther was an avid fan of Ole Miss Sports, especially football. He loved being outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren.
Luther leaves behind three children, Chris Morgan of Plantersville, Deborah Heair of Dorsey, and Matthew Morgan and his wife Libby of Saltillo; six grandchildren, Douglas Morgan and Jonathan Morgan, both of Okolona, Krysta Heair, Heath Heair, and Heather Heair, all of Dorsey, and Kayla Morgan of Saltillo; two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Christopher Dean; and his sister, Linda of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Sandra Faye Daniel Morgan; a sister, Elaine; and two brothers, Robert and Edward.
