LYNN PATRICIA (BLAKESLEE) BRAUN
Lynn Braun, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and woman of unwavering faith in Jesus, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, at her home in Early, Texas, surrounded by her loving family.
Born the second of six children in Tacoma, Washington, to Nathan and Patricia Blakeslee.
Lynn embodied grace and strength throughout her life. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1969 and furthered her education at Elim Bible Institute in New York, where she deepened her spiritual foundation.
Lynn was the devoted wife of Mark Braun for 52 beautiful years. Together, they raised four children: Matthew (Holly) Braun, Jeremy (Joy) Braun, Joel (Heather) Braun, and Hannah (Dirk) Theisen. Her greatest joy came from being "Grammie" & "GG" to ten cherished grandchildren: Caedmon, Eden, Zane, Solomon, Jacob, Olivia, Micah, Isaac, Gavin, and Wyatt.
She is survived by her siblings Lee and Lane Blakeslee, Lorraine (Blakeslee) Fouch, Lonn Sweers, and Loritha (Sweers) Fitzpatrick, as well as 27 nieces and nephews who knew her as their loving "Auntie." Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, Nathan and Patricia, her sister Laurie (Blakeslee) Lawson, her brother Lance Blakeslee, and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Lynn lived life to the fullest, embracing adventure and joy at every turn. She delighted in riding motorcycles with her husband Mark, cruising to distant shores, and exploring the country in their motorhome. Her creative spirit flourished through her painting, calligraphy, crocheting, knitting, and Swedish weave, and she found great satisfaction in teaching others the art of blanket-making. Above all, Lynn was a passionate follower of Jesus who found her greatest purpose in pouring into the lives of others, touching countless hearts with her warmth, wisdom, and generous spirit.
