Lynn A. Dennis, age 68, of Wheaton, IL, passed away August 16, 2025.
Lynn was born November 7, 1956 in Aurora, IL to the late Charles W. Dennis and Georgina (McDonnell) Dennis.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Marcia Dennis, and a brother, Andrew Dennis.
Lynn is survived by a sister, Kathleen Kunz, and a long time companion, Don Coleman. She was a proud aunt to Stephanie, Daniel, and Jeffrey Kunz.
Lynn attended Purdue University, Saint Elizabeth School of Nursing, and eventually earned her MSN from Bradley University.
During her time at Purdue, Lynn lived in the Shoemaker Co-op House where she made life long friends. After 47 years, a core group "Shoes" continue to talk weekly and meet once a year to spend time together. Oh, the stories they could tell !!
Lynn was an active member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. She was involved in many aspects of Pastoral care and aided people who were recovering from divorce. She also belonged to the Ladies Prayer Shawl Group and was an extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion to the home bound.
Lynn was a woman whose life was defined by her devotion to God, her deep love of family and friends, and her dedication to every patient she cared for in her thirty year Nursing career.
Lynn's final resting place will be in the columbarium at the Incarnation Church in Collierville, TN.
We take comfort in knowing she is now with Jesus, even as we struggle with the deep sadness of losing her.
A funeral mass will take place at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Wheaton at 10:00 am on September 13, 2025. Visitation is one hour prior to mass.
In Lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to St. Michael's Church, the Preborn Organization (preborn.com), the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or the DuPage County Animal Shelter.
