Lynn K. Palmer 79, of Woodville, passed away at Spring Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Green Springs Saturday, March 8, 2025. Lynn was born on April 22, 1945 in Woodville, OH to Norman and Marian (Decker) Ickes. She later became a 1963 graduate of Woodville High School, and went on to serve her nation in the U.S. Airforce.
Lynn worked as a Secretary for Jeep in Toledo for 15 plus years. Always remaining a proud Veteran Lynn was a member of the American Legion, and a former member of Woodville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards (especially bunko) and seeing the goats at the family farm. Lynn had a great sense of humor and enjoyed sharing a joke, but it was spending time with her family that remained her greatest joy.
Lynn is survived by her children: Matthew (Connie) Palmer of Tiffin, Jason Palmer of Fremont, and Carl (Lisa) Palmer of Toledo. Grandchildren: Brendon Palmer, Evan Palmer, Cortney (Josh) Filler, Amanda (Matt) Wilhelm, Austin (Serena) Palmer, Paige Palmer, Hannah Palmer, Cole Palmer, and 9 great-grandchildren. Brother; Steve (Lori) Ickes of Fremont, sister; Nancy (Bob) Rickard of Woodville, 1 niece and 3 nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Family and friends will be received 9-11 a.m., Friday, March 14, 2025 with a funeral service at 11 a.m., Rev. Alan Brown will be officiating. Lynn will be laid to rest in Westwood Cemetery, Woodville, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to: Financial Assistance for Cancer Treatments (FACT) or www.factsenecacounty.org.
