Paul H. Camper

Paul H. Camper age 80, of Woodville Township, OH passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, in Perrysburg. Paul was born on April 26, 1945 in Toledo, OH to Ernest J. and Esther E. (Niehaus) Camper. He attended Solomon Lutheran School, and was a 1963 graduate of Woodville High School. He later served in the Army and National Guard. On June 8, 1974 he married Miriam A. Tegtmeier in Williston, OH. Paul and Miriam raised two children and celebrated nearly 48 years of marriage together until Miriam's death in 2022.
In addition to being a farmer, Paul also drove a truck for 14 years with Sky Reach, and Jeffers Crane Service in Oregon, OH. He enjoyed wrenching and riding his classic Triumph motorcycle. Paul maintained a pilot's license and enjoyed flying his father's Tri-Pacer Piper airplane. He was very social and adventurous, enjoying life and hanging out with friends. Most of all, Paul was a wonderful father and grandfather and spending time with his family was his greatest joy.
Paul is survived by daughter: Nicole (Eric Singer) Camper of Lafayette, CO, son: Nate (Diana) Camper of Genoa, grandchildren: Cassidy, Alexandra, Lucas, Zach, brother; Howard (Suzanne) Camper of Powell, OH, sister; Lois (Rick Kaczmarek) Camper of Toledo and nephew; Mark (Kim) Camper of Lexington, KY. In addition to his wife Miriam, Paul was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends will be received 4-7 p.m., on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 201 West Main Street, Woodville, OH. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at Solomon Lutheran Church, 305 West Main Street, Woodville, OH with additional visitation from 12 p.m., until time of service. Officiating will be Rev. Alan Brown. Paul will be laid to rest next to Miriam in Westwood Cemetery, Woodville, OH.
