In Loving Memory of Madge Elizabeth Casselman Marks, 03/29/1950 – 05/20/2025
Beloved wife, caring mother, devoted friend, passionate gardener passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. Her warmth, curiosity, and enduring love for nature and heritage touched all who knew her.
She met and married her soulmate, the late Joseph T. Marks on October 20, 1979. She is the proud mother of Michah Marks. Her dog, Cali was also a constant and cherished companion, faithfully by her side.
Madge grew up in Detroit, went to St. David's School and graduated from Denby High School in 1967. She was a career woman, working close to 30 years at NBD/Chase Bank.
She was born to the late Harold A. and Elizabeth J. (Cassidy) Casselman. She grew up in a large loving family; and is survived by her siblings Mary (and the late Loy) Mayle, William (Debra) Casselman, and PattyAnn (Robert) Jetke. She is predeceased by sister Trudy (and the late Matthew) Daly, sister Catherine Ray, and brother Donald Casselman. Her memory lives on through her many nieces and nephews: Michael (Anita) Leach, Jerry (Lynne) Leach, Barbara McShane, the late Christopher (Cynthia) Daly, Debra (Chris) Reynolds, Todd (Nancy) Casselman, Maureen (Brian) Buck, Tamara (Penny) Casselman, John Leach, the late Matthew Daly II, William Jetke, James Jetke, Chad (Alicia) Casselman, and Ryan (Samantha) Casselman (and MANY great nieces and nephews). She was the "fun aunt" babysitting several of them in their earliest years.
Madge (and Joe) had a deep interest in genealogy and took great pride tracing the family roots back through generations. Their work and legacy will continue to connect family for years to come.
A lover of travel, Madge sought out new experiences with an open heart. Most recently to Hawaii and Great Britain where she fell in love with the beauty and vibrant spirit.
Madge's legacy is one of love, learning and a life deeply lived. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
