Maggie Alice Branham Stewart
1946-2025
"She had healing in her hands and grace in her heart-always ready to serve, never asking in return."~ Unknown
Maggie Alice Branham Stewart, age 78 of Catlettsburg, Ky, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on July 30 2025, while resting peacefully at home.
Maggie was born in the fall of 1946 on October 9th. She was the blessing of the late Denvil and Ann Jo Glancy Branham. Maggie was a graduate of Boyd County High School. Maggie had a spiritual gift for
helping others, it led her to further her education at Ashland Community and Technical College. She was called into nursing and shortly after graduation began her career at Bellefonte Hospital. Maggie worked tirelessly day after day providing care for those in her community as a Certified Nursing Assistant. It was one of the hardest jobs in the hospital, but Maggie excelled at it. Her kind nature and gentle heart was made for the job. Maggie never turned her back on someone in need of help, instead she would greet them with a sweet smile and open arms ready to help.
Maggie was a devoted woman of God, and member of the Raceland Church of God. Her faith was unwavering and an example to others. Maggie was a loving mother, cherished sister, beloved friend, but most of all she "Mamaw". Her grandbabies meant the world to her and she cherished any time spent with them.
Maggie's legacy of kindness, compassion, and unwavering faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her gentle spirit, selfless love, and quiet strength will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in knowing she is now resting in the arms of her Savior, healed and whole.
Maggie leaves behind two loving sons, J.T. Stewart and his wife Amy of Catlettsburg, KY, Fred Stewart and his wife Carly also of Catlettsburg, KY, five beloved grandchildren Kaci Damron and her husband Tyler, Brady Stewart of whom was vital to her care during her illness, Carter Stephens, Macy Stewart, and Emry Stewart, one brother Don Branham and his wife Glena of Catlettsburg, KY, and one sister Deloris "Jean" Ray of Ashland, KY. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews including her special caregivers Susie and Louann, and many extended family members, church family, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Maggie is enjoying a Heavenly Reunion with two brothers Hubert Ray Branham and Jimmy Branham.
A funeral service will be held to honor the life of Maggie on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home, located at 2409 Center Street, Catlettsburg, KY, beginning at 1:00 pm, where her sister Jean Ray, will officiate the service. Visitation for friends and family will be held prior to the service from 11am to 1 pm. Maggie will be laid to rest following the service at Catlettsburg Cemetery.
