Cromie, Maisie passed away peacefully on February 16, 2021. She was born to Lydia and Adam Porter on May 3, 1932. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Cromie, all of her nine siblings: Jane (George) Fearon, Billy (Kitty) Porter, Ada (Joe) Duffy, Mary (Eric) Lundsten, Lenny (Maria) Porter, Jackie (Kay) Porter, Madge (Wilbur) Wakefield, Arthur (Janice) Porter, and Ruth Porter; son-in-law Byron Sheppard; her step-grandchild Luke (Ginger) Bucklin; and his three sons, Nate, Nick and Noah Bucklin. She leaves behind her three daughters Jane (Larry Bucklin) Cromie, Linda (Byron) Sheppard, and Marjorie Morgan; her grandchildren, Grace Cromie, John (Alison) Cromie, Lindel Sheppard, Luke Sheppard; her step grandchildren, Paul (Tristana) Bucklin, David Bucklin; her great grandchildren and step great grandchildren Sarah (Josh) Tomaschko, Sami Bucklin, Oliver Bucklin, Massimo Bucklin, Magnus Cromie and Corvus Cromie. Maisie was raised in Gerritsen Beach, an annex of Brooklyn, New York. She was a kind and loving woman, with a spirit that lives on in all that knew her. She was a natural athlete, a marathoner who ran countless marathons, triathlons and races, and an avid bicyclist. She always wanted to be active and participating in life. She loved being near the ocean and running on the beach in Fort Meyers and running along Lake Calhoun and Lake Harriet in Minneapolis. She was the first in her family to graduate from high school. She worked many years as a claim's examiner at Northwestern National Life. She bravely fought her battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was deeply loved by all and will be sorely missed. Thank you to all of her caregivers at Becky's Place. There will be a celebration of her life later in the summer when we can gather outside. Washburn-McReavy.com Edina Chapel 952-920-3996
