Marcia Keene was ushered into the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 11, 2025. In her final days, she was surrounded by family and friends-both old and new-who gathered to celebrate her life before sending her off on her next adventure.
Marcia will be remembered for her loving and generous spirit. She was always thinking of others, even in the depths of her painful health struggles. Her love for children was evident throughout her life, as she and her husband faithfully served as Sunday school teachers and generously supported children's charities. Nothing brought her greater joy. Marcia was also an active member of the First Baptist (Johnson City) Life Group, where she formed many cherished connections with a circle of dear friends who lifted her up until the end.
She is survived by her son, Michael, and her adopted daughter-in-law, Mackenzie; her sisters, Phyllis (Bob) Brown and Jan Abbott; and her brothers- and sisters-in-law, Cindy Williams, Randy (Marcia) Keene, Gary (Donna) Keene, and Cindy (Bill) West. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, and their children.
Marcia was predeceased by the love of her life, Robert Keene; their daughter, Lori Keene; her siblings, Susie and Rusty; and her parents, Howard, Ruth, and Mary Williams.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 from 5-7 pm at Barber Memorial Home, 428 Main Street, Johnson City. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 10 am at First Baptist Church, 1321 Reynolds Road, Johnson City.
