AUBURN – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Marcus Andre LaPointe, age 23, of Auburn, who left this world on Monday, January 13, 2025.
He leaves his beloved family: his devoted parents, Kris L. and Gail R. (Garvey) LaPointe; his loving brothers, Schyler J. Fournier and his wife Rebecca, of East Brookfield, and Zachary T. LaPointe, of Auburn; his cherished girlfriend, Julia B. "Jules" Benvenuti, of Auburn, along with her loving family; his paternal grandmothers, Sandy O'Gorman, of North Carolina, and Sue LaPointe, of Worcester; his aunts, Christine, Lisa, Tracy, Stephanie, Rachel; uncles, Michael, David, Steven, Donald, John, and their families; his niece and nephew, Briella and Lukas; along with many cousins, many wonderful friends, and his beloved pets, Lylah and Kitty. Marcus was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Andre J. LaPointe; his maternal grandparents, Rudolph H. Davis, Jr. and Lily (Nahkala) Davis; and his beloved pets, Kelli and Carli.
Marcus was born in Worcester, and was raised and educated in Auburn. He loved sports, and was a valued team member in Auburn High School's Varsity soccer, track/cross country, and football. He graduated with the Class of 2019, prior to attending UMass Lowell.
Most recently, Marcus worked as an Apprentice Lineman, had joined the IBEW Local Union #104 in 2021, and was working in Vermont for Grattan Line Construction.
In his free time, Marcus enjoyed being outdoors, whether it be golfing, fishing, archery, snowboarding, or walks in the woods with his pets. He especially loved hiking in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Marcus was involved in Boy Scouts growing up, and was known to be quite adventurous and loved animals. He also enjoyed cooking, watching movies, and spending time with his family and his beloved Jules, and loved his nieces and nephew tremendously.
He was a former member of St. Joseph's Parish here in Auburn.
Above all, family and friends were most important to Marcus in this life, and for that, they will be forever grateful. His light and laughter were a blessing. Marcus and his family shared so many cherished moments and memories that will never be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Marcus' name to a charity of your choice.
Visiting hours will be held from 3 PM to 7 PM on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Faith Church, 22 Faith Ave., Auburn, with a service celebrating his life beginning at 7 PM. The Britton-Wallace Funeral Home is honored to be assisting with arrangements.

Kris, Gail, Schyler, Rebecca, Zach & Julia,
Our deepest condolences and we are deeply sorry for your loss. Marcus was not just a good friend to Ben, he was part of his childhood, adulthood and always a welcomed member of our family. My fondest memories of him are, him singing in the back of my car and always knowing all the lyrics. Sitting at the dinner table and feeling like I was in conversation with an adult, even at a very young age. Wise beyond his years. Coming to Salisbury beach with us for 5 days and all along telling me he had checked in with you and it was fine for him to stay as long as he did. Then discovering he hadn´t checked in at all, when dropping him off. You had thought it was for a day or two and he had not been sufficiently packed. When he came over to eat lunch (Moe´s) with Ben after the gym and me calling the house for help with grocery unloading from my car and Ben saying "we have a special visitor Mom". I always knew who it was. Ben knew how special Marcus was not only to me, but our family. We all will miss Marcus very much, the friend he was to Ben and the light he brought to our home. Till we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.
All our love and support Keith, Mary, Ben, Abby & Ghost
