Margaret M. Vitone

Always Loved, Forever Missed
Margaret M. Vitone, age 63, passed away on January 21, 2023 at Saint Mary's Hospital with her beloved companion of 25 years, Douglas "Dougie" Talmont by her side.
Born in Waterbury, CT, on October 3, 1959, "Maggie" was the daughter of the late Francis J. and Catherine (Giesen) Vitone. She was a graduate of Holy Cross High School and took several college courses. Margaret worked in the social services field for over ten years aiding in the rehabilitation of young women in the Waterbury area and was a fierce advocate for the Autism community. Devoted to her faith, Margaret was a longtime parishioner of St. Lucy's Church. She enjoyed cooking and baking. She was an amazing host for holiday family events. She was a huge animal lover, especially her dog, Daisy and her cat, Lucy Bella. Maggie was also known as "Mama Bear" in the local community. "Noni from Connecticut" was happiest spending time with her grandchildren, who were the lights of her life.
Margaret is survived by her daughters Erica Daniel and her husband Franck Daniel of New Jersey and Jennifer Caban and her husband Eric J. Caban, Sr. of Florida and her beloved grandchildren Valentina Caban and Evan Daniel. She also leaves her sisters Catherine Vitone and her wife Carol Wiard and Patricia Noble and her husband Frank Noble, Sr. as well as her nephew Frank Noble, Jr.
Maggie's daughters will be forever grateful for Dougie and the love and care he provided for their mom over the years.
Margaret's funeral will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023 at 10:00am from Maiorano Funeral Home, 95 Willow St., Waterbury to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel for a Mass at 11:00am. Burial will be held at a later date. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 4:00-6:00pm.
