Our deepest condolences to all of the Froustis family. Maria was my oldest cousin and I only got to physically meet her in person when I was six years old in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in 1977. She was a sweet soul and kept in touch with me and my family throughout the years. Family was important to her. We understood how tough it was for her not having family closer. We were truly saddened by the news of your loss.
We send you all prayers of strength to get through this difficult time. The Zarokostas family has always been known to have an inner strength that inspires. Remember your beautiful memories of her and not the health challenges she faced. May her memory be eternal. Sending much love and hugs. Constadina Zarokostas-Vasiliades and Family

Dear Froustis Family,
Although we have not met, I wanted to extend my heartfelt sympathies to you all for the loss of your Mother, Grandmother/Yiayia and Great-Grandmother.
I remember first meeting my first cousin Maria/Marigoula here in Calgary, Alberta when I was just a young child, in the 1970's when she came here for a short trip. My Mother and myself had kept in touch with her over the years. I was truly hoping to make it out to Chicago and visit her sometime.
She got married quite young and left Greece at a very young age, as you know. She was a strong, resilient, loving, caring, kind and hard-working lady. Her family meant everything to her. I had great love and affection for her parents, my Uncle Kostantino (Dino) and Aunt Eleni, and they still hold a special place in my heart. Surely she got many of her qualities and attributes from them.
I know how much Maria loved and missed Greece. It is my sincere hope and wish that you will all be able to go to Greece one day, and visit the gorgeous town of Leonidio and wondrous country where Maria grew up.
May her memory be eternal...God bless you all.
