Mariann L. "Lucchese" Showalter

Mariann Lucchese Showalter, 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Nazareth Home.

She was born in Louisville, KY on April 18, 1944 to Ann (Ridge) and Francis Paul Lucchese and was the oldest of their seven children. She attended and graduated from Holy Family Catholic grade school and Presentation Academy. She went on to receive her associate degree in business. She worked in the office of Scheen & Smith dermatologists for 21 years before her retirement in 2007. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, and reading.

Mariann was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Richard; her two sons, Danny (Ann) and Jimmy; her beloved grandsons, Nicholas and William; siblings, Kathleen (Larry) Bailey, Paul (Brenda) Lucchese, Betty (Mike) Horlander, Susan Dillon, Patricia (John) Otting, and John (Linda) Lucchese. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1920 Newburg Road with visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the mass. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
