Marilyn M. Severin

Marilyn M. Severin, age 81, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at home surrounded by her family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. A visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 9:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Marilyn was born on October 30, 1943, in Portland, Oregon to Lawrence and Christina (Pelot) Joosten. She graduated from Lincoln High School. Marilyn married Lester Severin on August 12, 1971, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

Marilyn was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She was a dedicated homemaker throughout her life and she took great pride in caring for her family and creating a warm, welcoming home. Marilyn enjoyed gardening, watching Hallmark movies, and cheering on her grandson at BMX races.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Lester Severin; son, Chris (Jamie Hahn) Severin; grandson, Brendan Severin; siblings, Yvonne Roseno, LeRoy (Sally) Joosten, and Beverly Mallek; sisters-in-law, Janet Johnson, Pearl Hanson, and Debbie Severin; brother-in-law, Gordy (Deb) Severin; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Arlene; brothers-in-law, John Roseno, Leslie Severin, Larry (Joan) Severin, and Alan (Mary Kay) Severin; and sisters-in-law, Delores (Frank) Lila and Debra Severin.
