Schaghticoke - Marjorie A. Robinson, 70, of Troy passed away peacefully on January 21, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born and raised in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Harris and the late Mildred Prescott Connors Harris. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas Robinson of Troy who was the love of her life. She attended St. Patrick's School in Troy, Catholic Central High School and was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School "Class of 1971". She was employed with Dr. Muthiah as an LPN nurse in his pediatric office located in Lansingburgh. Then she worked in yellow pages for NYNEX which turned into Bell Atlantic and now known as Verizon. Marge retired early with Verizon in 2002 and later went onto work for Troy Housing Authority in the Business Offices and retired from there in 2016.
Marge had an unwavering love for her children and grandchildren. She would always put the needs of her family before her own. She loved having her family around her and enjoyed conversations and sharing stories with them. She enjoyed her friends and loved catching up with them when she could. She had a love for animals and had many throughout her life. On several occasions she would come home with a new puppy/kitten/bird and her husband Tom would shake his head. She enjoyed projects around her house with her husband and going for drives with him. We wish we had more time together, but we will always remember what she has instilled into us and value the time we did have. She wanted to be back with her loving husband, and we know they are both looking down upon us together again.
Survivors include her son Samuel Travis of Mechanicville, Rebeccah Ryan (Thomas) of Schaghticoke, grandchildren Kaylynn and Ava Ryan of Schaghticoke, sister Jean Kane (late, William) of Troy, sister-in-law Jennifer Theakos (James) of Troy, Pamela Ferral (Patrick) of South Carolina, Donna Pierce of Albany, Jeri Degener of Albany and brother in law Thomas Dougherty Sr. of Troy and several nieces and nephews that she truly loved. Marjorie was predeceased by her sisters Anna Mae Izzo (late, Joseph) of Valley Falls and Geraldine Dougherty (Thomas) of Troy. She was very grateful to have lived next door to her niece (best friend) Debra Bailey (David) of Valley Falls.
The family would like to thank the Hildegard Medicus Cancer Center in Troy and The Community Hospice team for their loving care and support.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

I'm so very sorry, I didn't know until now. She was a sweet friend all those years ago, and I miss her. Until me meet again, I'll think of you often Margie. Give a hug to Eileen for me.
