Marjorie Simich Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Jan. 15, 2024.
Marjorie May Simich(Tepatti) was born on May 22, 1930 to Michael and Mary Tepatti in Detroit, Michigan.
She grew up during challenging WWII times in the U.S. along with her elder sister of 4 years, Marie. Upon graduating from Cooley High School, she started a long career with General Motors in the Photographic Department. Marjorie had a flair for Fashion and was always impeccably dressed especially when she went Dancing at the Grande Ballroom with her close Friends Peggy (The Redhead), Brenda (The Blonde) and Marjorie (The Black-Haired Beauty). The Grande Ballroom is where she caught the attention of many suitors, one in particular a dashing, impeccably dressed gentleman named Eli Simich. They dated for 3 years and married on May 26, 1962. They purchased their home in Southfield, Michigan at the end of 1964 where she resided the rest of her life.
She is survived by her children John, Mark, Nancy and Lynn. She retired from General Motors in 1991 and found one of the great loves of her life a game called Bingo. Along with her cohorts Millie, Brenda and Mary they played the Bingo Hall Circuit for many years. During her retirement she loved spending time the Upper Peninsula with her Aunt Lena and visiting her son John in Phoenix, Arizona. She is also survived by her Grandchildren, Tyler, Brook and Matthew and two beautiful Great-Granddaughters Violet and Laylah as well as her Nieces Cathy, Marianne and Nephew Michael. Marjorie passed away Saturday Evening, January 13 at Home surrounded by her Children. Marjorie lived a good life, a long life, a life deserving the rest that she has earned. She was the last of a great generation.
