Marjorie Uhlman

Marjorie White Uhlman, 92, of Erie, passed through the gates to Heaven where there was an unlimited supply of ice cream, cappuccino, cookies and hard candy waiting for her on Tuesday October 24, 2023. She was born in Erie on June 3, 1931 a daughter of the late Robert J. and Mamie Habercam White.
Marjorie graduated from Academy High School in 1949 and worked for Marx toys, Continental Rubber Works, Erie Times News, Penelec, sold real estate at Latimer Real Estate, and volunteered with the Saint Vincent Auxiliary where she was a Rave finalist. The most important aspect of mom's life was being a mother and taking care of here family. Mom loved going down east to the Adirondack Mountains for The Woodsman's Field Days and taking walks and spending time at the woodlands her family owned in Aldercreek, NY.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert E. White, and her sister, Shirley White.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, including three years courtin', Robert O. Uhlman, Sr.; one son, Robert Uhlman, Jr. of Erie; one daughter, Julie Uhlman, of Erie; and nephews Bob, Jeff, Doug, Dave, and John White.
Friends are invited a Funeral Mass at St. George Catholic Church, where Marjorie and Robert were married, on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Calvary Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, 16504.
Our family would like to thank Terry Gresinger for her love, compassion, and care of our mom. You are truly a special and beautiful soul. We are so grateful to have you. Also to our kind neighbors Russ and Patty Lasher, Ron and Linda Dodson, Dick and Winnie Harhold, Jane Pytlewski and Baxter, and dear friends, Joannie Dylewski, and Dolly Robinson. Mom will miss going to the Waterford Legion with friends Kevin and Linda Carroll. Thank you also to Dr. Brian Myers, Robin, and Tammy at Myers Family Chiropractic, the staff at Fyzical Therapy Summit, UPMC Family Hospice, and St Mary's West E Neighborhood staff for your excellent care for our mom in her last days and Dr Hasan Askari for your care, knowledge, wisdom, and compassion to our mom. You truly extended mom's life and we are so glad you took care of her.
In lieu of flowers, we would like you to buy yourself something you have been wanting for a long time and think of our mom or just raise your favorite beverage and give mom a toast.
