Mark A. Giulietti, 76, of New Britain, husband of Stephen Hard, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025, at their home. Born in New Britain, son of the late Alpio and Lena (Agostinucci) Giulietti, he was raised in Newington before moving back to New Britain in 1980. Mark was a graduate of Newington High School, Class of 1967. Mark served with the US Air Force at Pope Air Field in North Carolina obtaining a BA from Campbell University while there. He worked with the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection for 37 years, most notably administering its New Car Lemon Law. He retired in 2008. He was a parishioner at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in New Britain where he served on the Vestry and helped operate the Food Pantry. He continued on Vestry as St. Mark's merged with St. James Church in Farmington. He was a member of the New Britain Chapter of the Sons & Daughters of Italy; was a longtime volunteer at the New Britain Museum of American Art; and was an active member of the Art League of New Britain. He served for many years on the Board of the Greater New Britain Arts Alliance and more recently was a Historic Preservation Commissioner for the City of New Britain. Mark was a valued member of the International Association of Lemon Law Administrators, continuing this involvement even in retirement.

Besides his husband, Stephen, Mark leaves a sister, Gail Maglio and her husband Greg of Kensington and Engelwood, FL, a niece Kate Maglio and her fiancé Clinton Hacker of Glastonbury, nephews Dan Maglio of Kensington and Andrew Hard and Matthew Hard of Terryville and others.

Funeral services are Saturday, December 20, 2025, 10 AM at St. James Episcopal Church, 3 Mountain Road, Farmington, CT 06032 with military honors to follow at the church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are Friday, December 19, 2025, 4 to 7 PM at the FAMILY HOME, 166 Lincoln Street, New Britain. Memorial donations can be made to the St. Mark's Food Pantry c/o St. James Church. The Carlson Funeral Home, New Britain, is assisting with arrangements. Mr. Giulietti was a very nice man. He helped me many times at the food pantry at St. Mark's. I so appreciated the food when I had the need. The items St. Mark's gave away were so thoughtful.
