Mr. Mark A. Pieszchalski of Ashley, IL, departed this life at his residence on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at 10:00 P.M. He had attained the age of 67 years, 5 months, and 9 days.
Mark was born on April 24, 1956, in DuQuoin, IL, the son of Leo and Ann (nee Kozielek) Pieszchalski. He was united in marriage to Debbie Thomson on May 28, 1977, at St. Charles Catholic Church in DuBois, IL and she survives his passing.
Mark worked in the coal mines as a roof bolter for many years. He was a member of the St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom, IL, and the Radom Jaycees. Mark enjoyed coffee, donuts, and listening to the radio. He especially loved spending time with and playing with his grandchildren.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife Debbie Pieszchalski of Ashley, IL; his daughter, Stephanie Swoboda and husband Tyler of Chesterfield, MO; his 2 grandchildren, Violet and Vincent Swoboda; 2 brothers and 3 sisters, Marcia Bequette of Ballwin, MO, Michael (Charolet) Pieszchalski of DuBois, Don (Judy) Pieszchalski of DuBois, Teresa (Don) Wisniewski of Ashley and Anita (Michael) Jurkowski of Radom; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, David Pieszchalski and brother-in-law, David Bequette.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 10 AM with Fr. Oliver Nwachukuw officiating. Interment will follow.
Friends may call at the St. Michael Catholic Church in Radom on Friday from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. and on Saturday from 8 A.M. until the service hour.
Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials may be made to the Ashley Fire Department or the JDRF and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the family with arrangements.
