Mark Ridlon, 72, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2025, in Roswell, New Mexico.
Please take a moment to share your thoughts and memories with Mark's family at www.andersonbethany.com.
Graveside services for Mark will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 10:30 AM at
McBride Cemetery Niche Columbarium, with Pastor Tim Arlett officiating.
Mark was born on March 15, 1953, to Edward Ridlon and Laura Carrara in Roswell,
New Mexico. He graduated from Goddard High School in 1971 before enlisting in the
United States Navy, where he served for four years on two ships, the USS Piedmont
(AD-17) and the USS Sterett (CG-31), where he received a National Defense Service Medal for his service. After completing his commitment to the Navy, Mark began working on computers for several different companies before joining his dear friend and mentor, Dwaine Bendorf, at Bendorf Associates where he later became the owner.
Mark loved nature and being outside. Some of the things that brought him the greatest joy were fishing, exploring, rockhounding, gold panning, and visiting Hillsboro. He was the type of person who loved to give to others, the kind who never batted an eye at helping or giving the shirt off his back to someone who needed it. His daughters remember him as the most generous person that they had ever known.
Mark is survived by his sweetheart, Kerry McCall, and her son, Shawn McCall, who became someone who he relied on daily and loved very much; his children, Michelle Ridlon, Cathleen Bendicsen, Annie Torrey and her husband Jesse, Jennifer Lucero and her husband Patricio, and Chris Spence; twenty one grandchildren, Lara, Kirsten, Mercedes, Jayden, Alexis, Ionecca, Alysa, Lawmleah, Taevin, Kiersten, Alex, Sophia, Koevin, Joseph, Caedin, Aaliyah, Luna, Laelah, Mataeo, Malachi and Ariyah; one great-grandchild, Ariana; siblings, John Ridlon, Martha and husband Mike Allen, and Donald Ridlon; uncle, Charles Carrara; dear friends, Wesley and Vidoll Daniel and Henry and Diana Dickson; his beloved four-legged best friend, Roscoe; and many other family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Laura and Mike Michaels; his father, Edward Ridlon; both his maternal and paternal grandparents; his brother, George Ridlon; sister-in-law, Debbie Ridlon; his very special uncle, Chester Carrara; and his close friend and mentor, Dwaine Bendorf.
