Debbie was called home to her Lord on August 23rd, 2024 surrounded by family and loved ones. Debbie was born on September 11th, 1949 in Lubbock Texas to Matt and Lena Mae "Micky" Nix. She married John Ridlon in Muleshoe, Texas on December 30, 1992.
Raised in Sudan, Debbie graduated from Sudan High before attending Texas Tech university. She worked a variety of jobs, mostly accounting, before joining Teletrust as a temp in 1989 and rising to CFO before leaving the company in 2004. Debbie's life was dominated by her love for others and for the Lord. She was a long time member of the Sudan Methodist Church. Be it her own family, her church and Sudan family, or the many other lives she touched, Debbies beauty and generosity of spirit were felt by all. A devoted wife, mother, sister, friend, or just "Naggie" to her grandchildren, her smile and unique laughter lit up those around her. A fierce prayer warrior, Debbie loved studying the Word, being with her family, and traveling with her husband, sister, and brother-in-law in their RV. She always enjoyed having a dog and kept one much of her adult life. She enjoyed reading Christian themed books, playing bridge, and was in various bridge clubs in Sudan and Muleshoe. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Marilyn Cox, and daughter Candice Ridlon.
She is survived by husband John Ridlon, brother Mike Nix and his wife Sandy, brother in law Reagan Cox, son Shane Lind, daughter Fawn Stephens, daughter Summer Randell and her husband Brian, grandchildren Dylon and Hunter Guinn, Alec Stephens, J.T. Ridlon, Julianne and Shaelynn Shelley, Dillon and Peyton Randell, one great grandchild, as well as a host of family and friends. Debbie loved, and was loved, by many.
The family suggests any memorials be sent to Sudan Methodist Memorial Fund, PO Box 55, Sudan, Texas, 79371 or Sudan Fire and E.M.S., PO Box 491, Sudan Texas, 79371.

My condolences go out to the family. I grew up on the farm in Amherst, Texas with Debbie. My dad worked for her dad. We were like family during those days. So, so many hours we played in her little play house. Making mud pies inwhich she and my brother made me eat one. I am 2 years younger than them so I always got the little end of the stick. We rode bikes, swam in the irrigation ditches, just had great old time back then. Debbie will always carry a place in my heart.
