Mark Edgar Scherrer, 74, of Whiteland, Indiana, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025, at home, surrounded by his ex-wife and 3 children.
He was born on January 5, 1951, in indianapolis, IN to Herman and Betty Scherrer.
Mark graduated South Adams high school in 1969 and went on to work for Southern Scavenger trash Service for 30 years. He joined the Army and would bravely serve in the Vietnam War. A passionate golfer, he spent many happy hours on the greens and even worked part-time at the golf course after retirement. His dedication to his family and his quiet strength were the cornerstones of his life. He was a dedicated pool player, doing so frequently in his free time, even going to play tournaments with his sons and grandsons.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Teresa Scherrer; his three children, Whitney Brown (Mike), Seth Scherrer, and Storey Scherrer (Brenda); his eight cherished grandchildren: Darian, Logan, Skylaen, Nora, Jordan, Storey Jr., Eva, and Greyson; his brothers, Alan Scherrer and Eric Scherrer; his sister, Sue Scherrer; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Betty Scherrer; his sisters, Rosemary Scherrer and Luanna Scherrer Tollett; and his brother, Chris Scherrer.
Per Mark's wishes, there will be no funeral service, and he will be cremated. His family finds comfort in knowing he is at peace, forever remembered for the love he gave and the memories he left behind.
