Mark Jerome Shelton

Mark Jerome Shelton, 49, of Pace, Florida passed away on Saturday 15th of February 2025 at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola Florida.
Mark was born on April 21, 1975, in Milton, Florida. He graduated from Pace High School in 1993. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pace. He was a very hard worker and a jack of all trades. Mark worked many jobs over the years, several years with John Burris Masonry, and thirteen years with Hometown Contractors before moving on to running his own soil density testing company. He was a very loving and selfless man who would do anything for anyone and never met a stranger.
Preceded in death by his father, Jack Boaz Shelton, and several other family members.
Survived by his wife of 31 years, Sonia Shelton; his son, Austin Shelton; daughter, Brianna Shelton; mother, Debbie (Hardy) Hatcher; stepfather, Roger Hatcher; sister, Jennifer (Calvin) Flowers; stepbrother, Allen (Angela) Hatcher; and nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday February 24, 2025, at Lewis Funeral Home Pace Chapel, 4777 West SpencerField Road Pace, FL 32571, with visitation from 11:00am-12:00pm and service at 12:00pm. Interment will immediately follow at Strickland Cemetery on Hwy 90.
The family wishes to thank the ICU Doctors, Nurses, and Staff at West Florida Hospital for their outstanding and tireless care that was given to Mark. They also want to thank family and friends for all of their love, support and prayers during this time of need.
