Mark Anthony Stanford, 66, entered Heaven with a 3-piece KFC meal and a pink snowball cake for desert on Thurs. July 10, 2025 in Jackson, MS. Graveside Services are 2pm on Sat. July 19, 2025 at the Lakeland Place Memorial Park Cemetery in Brandon, MS. Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS is handling arrangements.
Mr. Stanford was born on Oct. 17, 1958, in Jackson, MS to the late A.D. Stanford and Sarah Bird Taylor Stanford. In his biggest moment of weakness, before his surgery, Mr. Stanford chose to save a baby over himself by making sure the baby’s surgery was before his own.
He is survived by his children, Andy Sanderson, Bruce Sanderson and Angie Maldonado; sister, Sheila McGinnis; brothers, Alex Stanford (Linda) and Russell Phillips; nephews, Erik Phillips (Patricia) and Tim Lawrence; niece, Taylor Keys (Tyler) and 11 grandchildren. Mr. Stanford is also preceded in death by his brothers, Rodger Taylor and Tom Stanford; sister, Dianne Morrison and his stepfather, Phill Johnny Phillips.
