Mark Sumner Obituary
Mark was a loving father and grandfather, whose creativity and attention to detail touched many. He was well known for his passion for building incredibly detailed classic model cars - a true artist in his craft. Mark also had a deep love for Halloween and classic horror films, often sharing his enthusiasm with friends and family in fun and memorable ways.
He will be remembered for his kind heart, his unique sense of humor, and the joy he brought to those around him.
In addition to his parents, Russell and Lenna Marie Sumner, Mark is preceded in death by his sister, Joan Brown.
He is survived by his long-time companion and love, Martha Manzo; son, Scott Ireland (Jenny); daughter Shayna Marie Brown (Anthony Sexton); grandchildren, Cheyanne, William, Kelsie, Lukas, Destiny, Madeline, Trevor, Raelyn; great grandson, Oliver; brother, Russell Sumner Jr. (Carol Sue Sumner), Craig Sumner (Sherry) and sister, Jeannett Powers.
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Mark's life will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the Archdale location of Cumby Family Funeral Service.
