Marshall R. Sergeant Jr., 78, of Harvard, died Friday, January 26 at his home in Harvard.
Marshall was born September 10, 1945 to Marshall R. Sr. and Dorothy Sergeant in Harvard. He married Barbara on September 10, 1966 in Harvard.
Marshall loved to work in the garage and build street rods with his buddies, take Sunday drives, and bowl in his younger days. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and lend tools to his friends and family.
Survivors include his wife Barbara of Harvard, daughters Tina Sergeant of Harvard and Tammy Fluger of Marengo, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and siblings Ann (Bob) Thompson of Belvidere, William (Sue) Sergeant of Hebron, and Charlie (Debbie) Sergeant of Woodstock.
Marshall was preceded in death by his parents Marshall Sr. and Dorothy Sergeant, infant daughter Kawana Kay, sister Margaret Sergeant, brother-in-law Bud Standish, son-in-law Kevin Fluger, and two nephews Daniel and Jacob Sergeant.
There will be a visitation from 5 – 7 PM Wednesday, January 31 at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, IL 60033.
