Marshall Courtney Treleven

Marshall Courtney Treleven, a cherished father, brother, grandfather and friend, passed away on June 13, 2024, in Longmont, CO, at the age of 61. Born on February 22, 1963, in Des Moines, IA. Marshall graduated from Roosevelt High School in Des Moines, IA, class of 1981 and had 2 children. He was a man of simple pleasures who found joy in walking among the mountains, fishing, and watching the majestic moose. His passion for meeting new people and traveling opened up a world rich with diverse experiences and cherished connections.
Marshall's innate kindness and wit left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. Whether it was a shared laugh or an act of generosity, he had a unique way of touching hearts and making the world a brighter place. His family fondly remembers his funny anecdotes and the warmth he exuded in every interaction. He left an indelible mark on all he met, allowing him to gather a wide circle of friends who will dearly miss him.
Marshall is proceeded in death by his parents, Audrey and Kent Treleven and his brothers, Kurt Treleven and Lance Treleven.
Marshall is survived by his children, Nick Treleven and Cara Buljubasic; his sister, Dawn Dick; his brother, Brian Treleven; and his three grandchildren. Their love and memories will continue to keep his spirit alive.
A ceremony to celebrate Marshall's life will be held on August 3rd at Walnut Woods Lodge, located at 3155 SE Walnut Woods Dr, West Des Moines, IA 50265, at 3 pm. Friends, family, and all whose lives he inspired are welcome to attend and share their memories.
In lieu of flowers or traditional condolences, the family invites you to honor Marshall's memory by engaging in your favorite outdoor activity, as a tribute to his love for nature and adventure.
Marshall's spirit will continue to walk with us in the mountains, fish alongside us in the streams, and greet us in the friendly faces of new friends we meet on our journeys. May he rest in peace.
