David A. Treleven
David 'Dave" Alan Treleven passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 3, 2025, at the age of 87 at the Heritage Senior Living Facility in Elm Grove, WI. Dave had fought several health conditions valiantly, living for his wife Mary, until he could no longer hang on. He was reunited with his parents, Joseph and Luella Treleven, and his older brothers and sisters Harold Treleven, Gladys Treleven, Patricia Dehnel, Leo Treleven, Doris Benedict, Milbert, Treleven, Donna Dilts and Marlene Mossong. He was also predeceased by his daughter-in-law Lisa (Joe) Treleven and son-in-law Edwin (Mary) Benet.
Dave was a devoted husband and loving father who is survived by the "Love of his Life", wife Mary Helen, sister-in-law (Delores Treleven) and is further survived by his children, Rick ( Lisa) Treleven, Dave Treleven, Todd (Beth) Treleven, Joe (Rachelle) Treleven, Mary Treleven, Rob (Nancy) Treleven and Ann (Kevin) Carl. . Dave also had 16 grandchildren (Ryan (Shelby), Mariella, Juliana, Nicholas (Lauren), Brianne (Ryan) JessiJane, Luc, Liam, Quinn (Kristen), Savanah, Kyle, Sean, Nathan (Maya), Julia, Cecilia and Cole and four great-grandchildren.
Dave was born on May 12, 1938, in Fond Du Lac, WI. When he was a young boy at the age of 6, his mother Luella died and his oldest sister Gladys, with sibling help, and father raised him until he joined the United States Navy in 1957. He was stationed at the Great Lake Naval Base, in Great Lakes, Illinois and was selected, because of his experience as a Control Technician for A.C. Neilson in Fond Du Lac, to proudly work in the Navy Data Processing Department where computers were quickly developing. He honorably served the Navy for 6 years and received promotions while working in the flourishing computer field.
In 1958, he was married to his beautiful wife Mary Helen, who he met at St. Mary's Springs High School in Fond Du Lac, WI and celebrated an enduring 67 years of marriage. After distinguished service in the Navy, Dave entered the workplace with in Milwaukee, WI working for Manpower/ IBM and then to Waukesha, WI where he worked for Wisconsin Centrifugal. Dave continued to excel in the computer field as a Manager of Information Systems working with large mainframe IBM computers. And after a long career in Data Management, Dave began a Sales career as a Sales lead for Data Forms Inc. (where he met his great friend Larry) and Sales Manager for Compuware where he retired at the age of 62.
Dave's wry smile was softened by his quick wit and dry sense of humor. Those who knew him understood how big his heart was and how much he cared and those he met soon saw through his tough exterior and were appreciative of his empathetic nature. Many who have met him have shared the stories and advice they were given to remember for the rest of their lives. His unique leadership quality endeared him with his friends and family as he became the best Boy Scout Leader, and Mentor in his favorite hobby, golf, and overall great human being. His passions helped him to deepen and strengthen the connections and relationships he built. Dave outlived many close friends yet continued to bond with family, residents , and staff at Heritage.
And Dave, like most Wisconsinite's, loved the Green Bay Packers and also cheered on all of the other local sports teams while his beloved pets, (Candy, Bandit, Jacque, Molly and Maddie) at his side jumped after a cheer or jeer but did not leave his side. And he kept a very clean and heated pool for his grandkids to enjoy at their home in New Berlin.
Dave (Dad): We will all miss you and you will forever be in our hearts!
