In Loving Memory Of
Martha LaRuth McGuire, age 72, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025 at her home. Martha was born August 25, 1952 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, a daughter of Thelma Edna Curtis. Martha married the love of her life Richard McGuire on October 24th 1970. They were blessed with a great marriage that lasted over fifty years. Martha will be remembered as a loving wife, an exceptional mother to four children, and an amazing grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoy crafting and sharing her creations with others, she was of the Pentecostal faith.
Martha is survived by her children Tina Stephens, Richard Michael McGuire, II, Justin McGuire and wife Melissa, and Anthony McGuire; grandchildren Angelia, Micha, Sarah, Mikey, Jaksyn, Katelyn, April, Elijah, and Arihanna; great-grandchildren Madalyn, Ava, Hunter, Aaliayah, Toby, Kenzie, and Carsyn. Preceding Martha in death is her beloved husband Richard McGuire; her mother Thelma Curtis; son-in law Robert Stephens; Martha was the youngest of seven children which have all preceded her in death.
Burial service will be at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 12th, at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, 522 Garland Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas. Cremation is under the thoughtful care of River Glenn Cremation and Funeral Services.
