Martha Elizabeth Mustonen, affectionately known as "Marty," passed away peacefully on October 22, 2024, in Warren, Michigan. Born on July 16, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan, Martha was a beloved figure in her community and a source of joy for her family and friends.
Marty was a devoted mother, leaving behind her cherished children: Michael, Matthew, Mark, and Julie. She took immense pride in her role as a grandmother to Thomas Chaltron, Timothy Chaltron, Samantha Mustonen, and Tenley Mustonen-Toledo. Her legacy further extends as a great-grandmother of three, a role that surely brought her much happiness.
Martha's warmth and kindness were evident in her many interests. She dedicated a great deal of her time to singing in the church choir, using her voice to uplift and inspire those around her. As a true animal lover, her home was always a sanctuary filled with cats and kittens, reflecting her compassionate spirit.
Martha is predeceased by her beloved husband Allan, whose memory she carried with her throughout her life. She is also reunited in spirit with her five siblings: Doris Bowen, Merlin Jr., Norma Hayward, Phyllis Hole, and Janet Adams, all whom she cherished dearly.
As we remember Martha Elizabeth Mustonen, we celebrate a life filled with love, music, and a profound connection to her family and pets. Her spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
