Marty Turner, a woman whose heart was fullest when surrounded by the people and passions she loved passed away peacefully on Monday, November 17, 2025. She was devoted to her family above all else; her grandkids and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy, each one a light that kept her smiling through every season of life. A lifelong lover of softball, she embodied the spirit of the game: Strong, steady, and full of quiet grit. She was an unwavering Tennessee Volunteers fan and cheered for her beloved St. Louis Cardinals with the same enthusiasm she poured into everything she cared for.
Her home was always warmed by the presence of her dogs, faithful companions who never left her side. She found true happiness in simple joys traveling to new places. Sharing laughter with her best friend and last great love Glenn Goulder "Pa" and savoring every memory they made together.
Her kindness, humor, and loyalty touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she has left this world, the warmth she gave so generously will continue to live on in the stories told, the traditions carried forward, and the countless hearts she helped shaped. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished and never forgotten. Marty is preceded in death by her parents Ann and Harold McCommon and her late husband, Paul Turner.
She is survived by her life partner, Glenn Goulder, her son, Chad Turner (April), her stepdaughter, Brandi Huffman, her Grandkids; Blake Turner (Kenzie), Alyssa Williams (Brandon), Emily Turner (Landon) and Wilder Huffman and her great grand kids; Nova, Remi, Brantley and Silas. Her siblings; Joey McCommon (Pat), Jean Peeler (Dennis), Eliane O'Brein, Lynn Sanders (Scott), Jeffrey McCommon (Christi). The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be directed to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in memory of Marty.
