Martin R. Howell

Martin R. Howell, born on July 16, 1963 in San Antonio, Texas, passed away at his home on August 20, 2025 in Jourdanton, Texas at the age of 62. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Howell, Juanita Rodriguez, and Alice Howell-Voelcker. Martin is survived by his wife, Loramae Howell; children, Zachary Howell and Danielle Howell; siblings, John Howell (Katherine), Joseph Howell, Rebecca Howell, Judy Howell (Jim Wells); numerous nieces and nephews; as well as his pets, Bailey, Mama, and Gracie. Martin served 4 active duty years in the Navy, followed by 2 years in Navy Reserve. He served on the Island of Diego Garcia and also on the USS McKee in San Diego, California. While serving on the USS McKee, Martin and his fellow crew members received a Meritorious Unit Commendation. Martin will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation will begin on Thursday, August 28, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with Navy Honors to begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. All services are to conclude Thursday, August 28, 2028 at Camero Funeral Home.
