Martin "Tex" Monteleone, Jr., of Franklinville, formerly of Ocean City, NJ and Havertown, PA, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025, in Camden, New Jersey. Born on February 19, 1944, in Laredo, Texas, Marty's journey through life was marked by his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his work, and his passion for the simple pleasures in life.
Marty is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Ann Monteleone nee Pitetti, a partnership that stood as a testament to enduring love and mutual respect. Their union was blessed with two children, Michael Monteleone and his wife, Jennifer, and Della Fox and her husband, Richard. Marty's role as a grandfather was one of his greatest joys, cherishing every moment with his grandchildren, Christopher and Matthew Monteleone, and Tyler and Adrianna Fox. He is also survived by his sister, Marion Nilsen, who shared in the many treasured family memories. Marty's loyal dog, Minnie, remains a symbol of his gentle spirit, following the passing of his previous beloved dog, Jesse.
Marty honorably served in the Air National Guard for a decade, a period in his life that instilled in him a sense of discipline and commitment that he carried into his civilian life. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-found AIMM Inc with his business partner, Tony Iannucci, a venture that thrived for 42 years under his careful stewardship.
A devout Catholic, Marty was a parishioner of Our Lady of Peace Church in Williamstown. His interests were a reflection of a man who found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved spending time with his family, especially during the many Monteleone/Fox family vacations, which were filled with laughter and the creation of lasting memories. An avid fisherman and golfer, Marty also had a deep appreciation for cars, a hobby that he pursued with enthusiasm. His dogs, Jesse and Minnie, were his true companions, often by his side as he enjoyed his favorite pastimes.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Our Lady of Peace Parish, 32 Carroll Ave, Williamstown, NJ 08094. Inurnment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Newfield, NJ.
