Marty Joe Pavelka beloved father, son, brother, husband and friend passed away at IHC Hospital, Murray, UT August 29, 2024, after a short illness.
Marty Joe was born July 26, 1971, in Yuma, AZ to Terry Pavelka and Sandy Lee Jacobs, joining his brother Cody. Marty's family moved to Salt Lake City shortly after where he spent the remainder of his life. He attended John C. Fremont and Taylorsville Elementary schools, Eisenhower Junior High and Taylorsville High School and then graduated from Kearns High School.
Marty was a journeyman electrician by trade where he was highly trained and well respected by his co-workers. He was always the go-to guy for difficult jobs and knew how to solve any problem. He has many friends and co-workers who will miss him greatly.
Marty had a good sense of humor and a quick wit that made him a lovable and fun guy and usually the life of the party. He and his brother spent many summers in South Dalota with their Grandma and Grandpa Pavelka on the ranch having fun riding horses, hunting, helping Grandpa with ranching chores. He loved the ranch and returned often to this beloved second home and place of many fond memories.
Marty enjoyed hunting with his dad and brother and was an expert marksman. He was also a true gun enthusiast. He liked riding his four-wheelers in the west desert, target practicing, fishing, gaming and computers. He loved spending time with family and friends and making lifetime memories with those he loved.
He married Melody Akins, later divorced, then married Loreli Woods, they had one son Joseph Marty Pavelka, later divorced. He then married Patricia Leguero.
Marty is survived by his parents, Terry Pavelka (Julie) and Sandy (Gordan) Nissen, brother Cody (Danette), son Joseph, nephew Zach Pavelka and many extended family members. Also survived by his wife Patty, her children Sheeree, and Johnny. Preceded in death by his Grandparents, Bud and Isa Pavelka and Lloyd and Fern Smith.
Words cannot describe the loss his family and friends are feeling by Marty's passing. We want to thank his lifelong friends: Kevin Warner, Joel Evans, and co-workers and friends, Tyson Kearney, Mike Lopez, Ryan Leyba and so many more, for your love and support for Marty and our family during this difficult time. We are all mourning together.
There will be no services at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.

Marty her granddaughter the apple of he´s eye? Your pride and joy? He would do anything to make sure she was OK they would go camping fishing swimming.any thing that lana ask he just run do it couple time they play painting their nails dance, it´s the most beautiful thing you ever see . I jut find a card the he wrote to her granddaughter he can even write his-hands are shaking I´m so jealous about it. The bond between grandfathers and granddaughters is one . I know Marty for almost 26 years and I been been with him 16 years there somewhere in there. Our life was a roller coaster, but one thing at the end of the day Marty was there to help me to take care of me.Id have done anything to make sure he survived. I was by his bed during every moment of the three weeks he was fighting death.
He had a plan. once in a while, he will bring wine. He will cook we would dance. He was romantic he was charming when he wanted. Sometimes he was moody. And nothing that I did was right I learned to ignore him. but he never let me down. I feel so empty so empty I lost my best friend. I lost my protector. I lost the person that I know he love me so much I can even describe all my feelings, sorrow emptiness, fear, loneliness, and I want him back. I know he did everything to make sure I was OK before he died.

I worked with Marty years ago. In my years in the trades I have gotten to know hundreds of fellow craftsmen, if not thousands. Marty was one of a kind. His wit, his vast knowledge and ability to problem solve was second to none. And his personality had a level of depth. He was hard not to admire. Rest in peace Marty, you will be missed.

Marty was a remarkable man. His quick wit always caught you off guard, and his intelligence never failed to captivate. His work ethic was unparalleled-he gave his all, no matter the task at hand. Above all, he was kind, and a true friend.

You will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, my friend.
