Mary Roosa Auton

Mary (Rose) Roosa Auton, age 100, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025, following a brief illness.
Mary was born in London, England on August 21, 1925, to Fred and Marguerité Rose. She was the oldest of their four daughters, Susan (deceased), Jeanne (deceased), and Pamela.
On January 25, 1946, she married Harley Roosa (deceased) of Latham, Ohio and she came to the U.S.A. as part of the war-brides program. She became a U.S. Citizen and a lifelong member of the Piketon Methodist Church.
Harley and Mary had three children, Paul (deceased), Mark (deceased), and Pamela (Galen) Ross. Mary has three grandchildren, Paul (Lori) Ross, Lisa (Darrell) Fyffe, and Nathan (Juli) Ross. She had five great grandchildren, and two great-great granddaughters, all of which she loved deeply.
On June 25, 1984, Mary married William Ray Auton (deceased), and gained three stepchildren, Bill (Rita), Dianne (Dan), and David (Rhonda); as well as several grandchildren. The couple enjoyed travelling throughout their retirement years.
After 100 remarkable years, her journey on Earth is complete. Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the memories that will carry us forward and will remain in our hearts always.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Howe Wheeler Boyer Funeral Home, Piketon, Ohio with Reverend Harley Roston, and Pastor Danny Wooten officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Cemetery, Piketon, Ohio.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the beginning of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home in Piketon.
