Mary Jane Ritter, age 91, of Menasha, passed away on December 2, 2021. She was born on August 11, 1930, at the family home in Menasha. She was the daughter of the late Boleslaw and Elizabeth (Lingnowski) Kiszewski. Mary attended St. John Elementary School and graduated from Menasha High School in 1948. After graduation, she worked at Marathon Corp where she met her soon to be husband, Arnold Ritter. They wed on September 15, 1956. They were blessed to share 62 years of marriage and raised 4 children together. Sadly, Arnold passed in 2018.
When her children were younger, the family enjoyed traveling and camping together. In her spare time, Mary enjoyed reading, traveling and especially gardening. In her later years, she kept her mind sharp by doing word search puzzles.
Mary is survived by her children, Terry, Kalen (Steve) Bishop, Scott (Lori) and Todd (Kathleen); grandchildren, Ross Bishop, Sarah Bishop and Frankie Ritter. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; siblings: Billy, Joseph, Alphonse, Norbert, Gerald, and Dorothy; as well as special nieces: Sharon Lindholm and Lynn (Pat) Schmidt.
A private memorial for Mary will be held.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at Rennes Health and Rehab center, as well as Deziree and Matt, from ThedaCare Hospice.
