Mary Wimberg Obituary

Mary loved her family and enjoyed spending time with all of the different generations. She worked in food service for 25 years at Churchill Downs. She is leaving a legacy of love.
Mary loved all things Snow White, Louisville Cardinals, and St. Anthony.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Anthony Wimberg; sisters, Dorothy Hite and Jean Kalbfleisch; brothers, Marion Vowels and Carrol "Pinky" Vowels.
She is survived by her daughters, Diane Penrod and Gloria Burk (Tom); grandchildren, Cathy Madison (Jimmy), Jenny Wade (Jeff), Chris Burk (Pam), Tony Burk (Dionne), and Beth Sample (Rhett); great- grandchildren, Destiny Debroy, Chris Burk (Tarra), Andrew Madison (Christina), Tyler Burk, Austin Madison (Sarah), Sean Burk, Mason Wade, Delaney Wade, Lexi Burk, Finley Sample and Quinn Sample; and great- great- grandchild, Connor Burk.
Mary's Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Paul Catholic Church, 6901 Dixie Hwy, with final prayers at Calvary's cemetery chapel, then burial to follow in St. Michael Cemetery. Her visitation will be from 2- 8p.m. on Monday, at Ratterman Southwest Funeral Home, 4832 Cane Run Rd.
